  1. The gift that you were given

Where is it, the gift that you were given?

    Or

Does it languish in a corner forgotten?

What have you done with it, the gift that you were given?

    Longing for some peace.

There’s a stone at the edge of a lake,

    That’s been hidden by shadows,

    Longing for some light.

There’s a stone at the edge of a lake,

    That’s been left all alone,

    Longing to be held.

There’s a stone at the edge of a lake,

That’s been silent for too long,

    Longing to be heard.
