Tales of love and confusion - Longing for your return

Longing for your return
The day after you left
I ironed my scarf,
elegant creases have become
dishevelled wrinkles
And all I have
is this longing for your return.
The day after you left
I approached my mirror,
Side longs glances have become
forlorn stares
And all I have
is this longing for your return.
The day after you left
I removed my ornaments,
Sparkling gems
have become dull rocks
And all I have
Is this longing for your return.
The day after you left
I called your name,
Delighted whispers have become
Wails of despair
And all I have
Is this longing for your return.
The night after you left
I slept awhile
Priceless dreams
have become worthless life
And all I have
Is this longing for your return.
