    In the darkness a wild god calls.
    The trees have bloomed and are now stripped bare.
    What have you learned?
     
    In the darkness a wild god calls.
    Spring has been and summer is past.
    How have you grown?
     
    In the darkness a wild god calls.
    Eggs have hatched and birds have soared,
    When did you change?
     
    In the darkness a wild god calls.
    Smiles have blossomed and tears have flowed,
    Why did you harden?
     
    In the darkness a wild god calls.
    Children were born and the elders died,
    Who did you become?

  2. Grieving

    Come, let us sit and

    Grieve for all manner of things;

    Illusions that never became reality,

    Dreams that never came true.

    Hopes that were thwarted

    And faiths that were broken.

     

    Those of you who can

    Shed a tear

    for what could have been.

    The dry eyed

    Wail in loss.

    So much was promised,

    So much anticipated.

     

    Each rising sun promised

    New beginnings.

    Each shining moon

    endless love.

     

    And, and what’s left?

    An arid desert, which

    not even mirages light.
